Privacy policy

The short version. We collect what we need to find you financing. We share your application only with lenders working on your request and the companies that help us run the business. We don't sell your information.

Who we are

Sent Funding ("we", "us") is a commercial equipment finance broker based in Indiana. We help businesses apply for equipment financing from third-party lenders. We are not a lender. Questions about this policy go to info@sentfunding.com.

What we collect

Information you give us: your name, email, phone number, business name, address, EIN, time in business, revenue, the equipment you want and its price, and the details on your application.
Owner and credit information: for owners and guarantors, this can include date of birth, home address and Social Security number. We collect it only when you apply, and only so lenders can review the request.
Documents: bank statements, tax returns, financial statements, equipment quotes, invoices and ID, when a lender asks for them.
Dealer information: if you're a dealer partner, your dealership's contact and payment details.
Website data: basic technical data such as your browser type, pages viewed and IP address, collected by our hosting provider for security and performance.

How we use it

To review your request and match it with lenders that may approve it
To send your application to the lenders you authorize, and to follow up with them for you
To reply to you about your application, offers and paperwork
To keep records, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations

We email you about your application. We won't add you to marketing lists without your permission, and you can unsubscribe from any marketing email at any time.

Who we share it with

Lenders and funding partners considering your request. Once a lender has your file, its own privacy policy also applies.
Service providers that help us run the business, such as email, e-signature, document storage and website hosting. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
The equipment dealer or seller on your deal, only as needed to complete and fund it.
Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect against fraud.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Credit checks

When you apply, you authorize us and the lenders reviewing your request to get credit reports and verify the information you give. Lenders may run a hard or soft credit inquiry depending on their process. We'll tell you before a lender pulls credit when we know in advance.

How we protect it

We use encrypted email and e-signature tools, limit who can access your files and delete documents we no longer need. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send your Social Security number or bank login details in a regular email. Use the secure application link instead.

How long we keep it

We keep application records for as long as needed to complete your request, keep business records and meet legal requirements, generally up to five years. After that we delete them.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Email info@sentfunding.com. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it, and we can't delete information that a lender already holds; you'd ask that lender directly.

Cookies

Our site doesn't use advertising cookies. Our hosting provider and font provider may set technical cookies or log requests so the site works and stays secure.

Children

Our services are for businesses and their adult owners. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date above.
